Beginner Divisions:
Tee Ball League Age 4-5:
(Non-competitive division)Often, a family's first instruction to Little League is in the Tee Ball program. Tee Ball is the entry level division for players, ages
(based on their age as of August 31 of the current year) can range from 4 to 5 years old. The Tee Ball experience is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals while also being key to growing a child's love for the game. Players will learn how to hit a ball off a batting tee, base running and learn what the positions on the field are called. A softer (rubber-core) baseball is used during practices and games. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them the experience the value of teamwork, therefore no scores or standings are kept.
The BLL Tee Ball program provides volunteer Coaches with everything they need to create an environment where players will learn the skills of the game, while having fun and staying active. Parents and legal guardians of Tee Ball players are crucial to the extension of the program, and their satisfaction is equally important to its success. The outreach and inclusion of the division sets the foundation for continued participation in the Bishop Little League program.
Parent volunteers are an integral part of Little League and are strongly encouraged to become involved in this division of Little League. After completing the appropriate volunteer requirements parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, BLL board members and other volunteer positions within the league.

Coach Pitch is one division up from Tee Ball for players. The experience, like Tee Ball, is also grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals while also being a key to growing a child’s love for the game. The primary difference from Tee ball is that each player bats off of pitches thrown from their coach. If the ball is not put into play after 5 pitches, the player will be allowed to hit off of a tee. A softer (rubber-core) baseball is used during practices and games. There are no walks or strikeouts in this division. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them the experience the value of teamwork, therefore no scores or standings are kept. One year of Tee Ball is recommended prior to Coach Pitch.

Minor League Divisions
Farm League Ages 7-8-9:
(Non-competitive division)
This division is for boys and girls with some experience playing baseball. It continues to be an instructional division and expands on basic fundamentals. This is the first time players are introduced to player pitching, as well as catching. This is also the first division that players are evaluated and drafted to teams. The Farm baseball (Player Pitch) minor league program is typically for players ages 7-8. The season is generally comprised of approximately 10-12 games and beginning with this division scores are kept. A softer baseball (rubber-core) is used during practices and games. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet with a portable pitching mound. One year of Coach Pitch is recommended. *Please note: League Age 6 players who have previously played in the Coach Pitch division are eligible to play in the Farm division. Placement on a Farm team is not guaranteed for 6-year-old players. Parents or Guardians interested in their child playing in the Farm division must register for Coach Pitch and email the BLL Player Agent for an evaluation request. They must also attend the scheduled Evaluation Day in February (time will be assigned) to show readiness for division advancement. Roster spots for 6-year-olds must be approved by the BLL Board of Directors and are not guaranteed.
*Farm Teams are formed via a draft; managers pick players based on their performance at evaluations and play during previous seasons.

Players continue to face player pitching. The Minor Baseball division program is typically for players ages 8-10. The season is generally comprised of approximately 12 games with scores and standings kept. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. At the end of the regular season, teams will participate in a double elimination tournament to crown a division Champion. Tournament brackets are determined by regular season standings. *Please note: League Age 8 players who have previously played in the Farm division are eligible to play in the Minors division. Placement on a Minors team is not guaranteed for 8-year-old players.

This program is a fully competitive division. Majors baseball is designed for players that have played at least 2 years in the Minors division. It allows for more advanced levels of play and adoption of rules such as the "Dropped 3rd Strike". Although this division operates with increased competitiveness, there is still a focus on personal development and encouragement. The season is generally comprised of 12 games with scores and standings kept. The diamond used is 60-feet and the pitching distance is 46 feet. At the end of the regular season, teams will participate in a double elimination tournament to crown a division Champion. Tournament brackets are determined by regular season standings.
*Please note: League Age 10 players who have previously played in the Minors division are eligible to play in the Majors division. Placement on a Majors team is not guaranteed for 10-year-old players. They must also attend the scheduled Evaluation Day in March (time to be assigned) to show readiness for division advancement. (Competitive division)The Little League experience doesn't stop after Majors. All league age 13 and 14-year-olds are invited to register for our Juniors division. Players have the ability to lead off, steal as the pitcher breaks, and play games on a bigger field (conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet 6 inches). This is an excellent opportunity to get ready for the next level and still play with friends and old teammates in the local community. At the end of the regular season, teams will participate in a double elimination tournament to crown a division Champion. Tournament brackets are determined by regular season standings.
